The Paperchine Sure-Pass is a vacuum conveyor threading system running above machine speed that threads the tail in the open draw between paper machine sections while helping to minimize slack.

A typical vacuum conveyor threading system uses a transfer device to stabilize, sever and transfer the tail to the vacuum conveyor. Once the tail has been transfered to the conveyor, the vacuum inside the conveyor box is used to hold the tail down on the conveyor belt, propelling the tail along the conveyor.

Operator safety is a major benefactor of this automated system which removes operators from the inside of the machine.
